Taking the moment of levitation and suspension, the direct, most intense sensory events experienced in the act of parachuting are leitmotiv to this design proposal. By separating vertically the main functional aspects, retail/event-space and restaurant, a void-space is created, simultaneously generating a covered open field, a bazaar of potential future events, programmatically open for the fantasy and desire of the user.
An elegant promenading staircase leading up to the gilled façade of the hovering stealth-restaurant, offering a sun-roof on the very top and glowing at night. All spaces are visually prominent from below boardwalk which is seamlessly connected to a dynamic ramp, embedded in the functional, smooth, sloping landscape below, revealing pockets of recreation, event-gathering and shopping. Programmatically the concept is simple: on the top-floor the restaurant offers an exclusive, elevated view of the surrounding attractions, extending this moment on the sun-roof through a soft lounge-setting accessible via steps integrated in the horizontal louver-system of the façade. The boardwalk-level is free of any planned program, offering a wide range of possibilities: receptions, bazaar, open-air events, parties.
On the parking lot level the visitors can find to the north a retail store, allowing direct access for arriving tourists to rent swim- and sports-equipment. Adjacent and connected is a multi-purpose space, treated either as exhibition or event-room. A second smaller lobby links the required offices with the event-space and the landscaping ramp. All levels are conveniently connected with an elevator, serving simultaneously for delivery and people-transport.
